"In Jerusalem, every stone has a memory. We work with the earth itself — shaping vessels that carry that ancient quiet into everyday life."
Our Programmes

Beginner
Your first time at the wheel — learn to centre clay, open a form and pull up walls. Leave with two pieces to be fired and collected the following week.

All Levels
Coil building, slab work and pinch pots. Explore ancient hand-building techniques used by potters across the Middle East for millennia.

Intermediate
Apply underglaze, wax resist and layered glaze techniques to bisque-fired pieces. Understand how colour transforms in the kiln.
Studio Work

Our Studio
Since 2014, Pottery Jerusalem has been a working studio in the ancient Yoel Moshe Salomon pedestrian lane — one of Jerusalem's oldest artistic neighbourhoods. Founded by ceramicist Esther Kahn, the studio is a place where visitors of all skill levels discover that the simple act of shaping clay can be deeply meditative and endlessly surprising.
Every workshop is led by a practising artist. Every piece is fired in our gas kiln. Every student leaves having made something genuinely theirs.
Meet the Potters"The wheel does not care about your to-do list. For one hour, there is only the clay, the water and the rotation."— Esther Kahn, Founder
